Switzerland
For our 15th year anniversary we went to Switzerland!
1 .Lucern
Our first stop was in Lucern, staying there April 25th through 29th. We arrived by train in the early afternoon, that first day was the only day during our visit with sunny weather.
2. Interlaken
Took a train from Lucern to Lauterbrunnen stopping in Interlaken along the way. The clouds cleared a bit and we saw some great scenery. Stored our luggage at the station and took a funicular up to Harder Kulm with beautiful views of the city and lakes. Had fondue at the top, then hiked back down (about an hour and half) and continued on to Lauterbrunnen.
3. Lauterbrunnen
We stayed in Lauterbrunnen for 3 nights, April 29th trhu May 2nd. It was a beautiful region, and we had great views from our room! Lauterbrunnen is a small village, a sort of "transportation hub" for the Jungrau region.
There was a cat that lived near our hotel, he looked so much like Pepper I named him "Swiss Pepper". He was very friendly.
4. Montreux
Our 3rd city to visit was Montreux, located on Lake Geneva. French is the language most spoken in this area. Our hotel had a great view of the lake, and hooks! None of the other hotels had any hooks for hanging towels, it was so strange
We enjoyed walking along the lake, there were tons of beautiful flowers. We also took a 3+ hour hike, ending with epic fondue.
