My coffee order got messed up this morning. I always older a skim latte, but they made me a skim mocha. Like I need espresso and chocolate in the morning to get me all jacked up. Just espresso is enough – but hey, I paid for the mocha so I drink it. I still love Caribou – there is one at the Lund’s grocery store right next to my apartment building. I love that Lund’s store too, as crazy as that sounds. When I returned from vacation in the Dominican Republic one of the first things I did was go to Lund’s (mainly because my fridge was empty), it felt good to be at my Lund’s.
Speaking of Caribou, I was sad to see that the first Caribou I had ever been too, and possibly the first location in the twin cites, has closed. The store on the corner of Lake St and Hennepin in Uptown has closed, quite a while ago I think. This probably isn’t of interest to many people, except maybe Terry, if he ever read this that is.
I used to go there every weekend to read and drink mochas. Well, until they closed, anyway.
